Acknowledging the importance of psychological aspects in fighting eating disorders and healing people’s relationship with food, we discussed how, at the time of the isolation caused by COVID, there was an increase in stress (information based on scientific literature), and how art was helpful in overcoming this difficult time.
We believe that the Mediterranean lifestyle is characterized by people’s immersion in art and social relationships, which are great motivational engines to overcome such difficult times.
That’s why we believe that scientific research on supplements, focusing mostly on olive tree polyphenols derived from the typical plants of the Mediterranean diet, can indeed be important to lead to people’s wellbeing, but they must be framed in the broader context of the person’s lifestyle and of the social relationships one is able to establish.
The combination of these things can help the person to find the motivation to follow the treatments prescribed by doctors to fight ailments and, if necessary and they see it fit, make use of dietary supplements.

The main objective of this meeting was to ascertain how many scientific works hypothesize the importance that the Mediterranean lifestyle can help individuals regain their well-being.
