Meetings continue between MAGISNAT and and the committee of the Fondazione Policlinico Agostino Gemelli IRCCS (Rome, Italy).
This time the topic addressed is highly relevant and topical. Obesity and how to cope with it was discussed.
To better understand this topic, it is good to specify what is meant by obesity. Obesity is an excessive accumulation of fatty tissue. Excess body weight is classically determined on the basis of a person’s BMI (Body Mass Index).
It is important to emphasize that it is not just a matter of weight but it is essential to be aware that the latter can lead to the onset of other diseases, such as cardio metabolic dysfunction, diabetes, disability, malignancies, and premature death.
In order to prevent the onset of obesity, it is necessary to adopt a healthy lifestyle, such as the Mediterranean lifestyle, that is, to follow a proper and complete diet and engage in moderate physical activity.
All this must be strengthened by taking dietary supplements, which, thanks to their composition, ease of administration, and affordability, can contribute to people’s state of well-being, preventing the onset of certain diseases, such as obesity.
