Finally, the time has come to explain who Achille Bertelli is and why he is strongly associated with Dr. Matteo Bertelli.
Achille Bertelli was born in Brescia on January 6th, 1855. At the age of 20 he successfully graduated in Chemistry from the University of Pavia. From here he decided it was time to satiate his hunger for curiosity and knowledge and began to travel.
In 1877, he moved to North America in search of new stimulation and with the goal of starting his own business. He succeeded in opening his chemical-pharmaceutical laboratory in San Francisco in 1879.
The North American experience ended in 1884, when he decided to return to Italy, specifically Milan. Here, too, his entrepreneurial essence emerged, and within a few years, he opened a chemical and pharmaceutical factory. The real innovation consisted not simply in opening his own business, but in the actions taken to advertise it on a large scale and the innovation of the products it promoted.
It is precisely the natural molecules, the basic ingredients of these products, that are the secret of Achille Bertelli’s success, first and now, Dr Matteo Bertelli’s.
