The natural molecules found in typical plants of the Mediterranean diet, including vitamins, polyphenols and microelements, have important physiological roles in the human body. Due also to the presence of these molecules, the Mediterranean diet prevents NCDs (Non-Communicable Diseases), such as obesity, cardiovascular and neurodegenerative diseases.
MAGISNAT, through its research laboratories in Italy, has dedicated itself to the study of molecules with physiological effects that are present in plants typically employed in the Mediterranean diet, through approaches in vitro on cell cultures, in vivo on animal models or in human experimentation, using various genomic, microbiomic, and metabolomic methods to test the efficacy of the supplements they developed.
As a result of these studies on natural molecules, MAGISNAT has developed a line of dietary supplements called GARLIVE that contain high-dose natural compounds, such as olive polyphenols and vitamins C, B, D.
Our aim is personalizing dietary supplementation through the development of omics tests, direct-to-consumer, that will indicate to the person specific deficiencies and any altered metabolic processes and monitor the effectiveness of supplementation.
