The topic of the first week of July meeting the was the launch event of the innovative spin-off MAGISNAT, virtually linking the American headquarters at Atlanta Tech Park in Peachtree Corners, GA, and the Press Room of the Italian Chamber of Deputies in Rome, Italy (information can be found in the “Events” section of the website, in specific “Magisnat Launch“. On the other hand, the topic of the second meeting was the quality of the hydroxytyrosol-based dietary supplement developed by MAGISNAT, Garlive Recovery.
Professor Tommaso Beccari (Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Food Science and Nutrition Section, University of Perugia, Italy), was asked for his opinion on the product’s qualities and characteristics, and he composed a press note that has been disseminated in newspapers and blogs (links are listed below).
This work is to be considered important, because it seems that a very small number of people in the U.S. take olive polyphenols directly from foods (such as: fermented olives, olive paste, extra virgin olive oil, or olive polyphenol concentrates in the form of supplements).
IN NUTRITION, FOLLOW THE SCIENCE
The main focus of this meeting was to verify how many scientific papers hypothesize the important role played in particular by olive tree polyphenols in dietary supplementation.
